Aston Martin V12 Vantage S (2014)

When introduced in 2009, the V12 Vantage was an extraordinary car. But in 2013, this was eclipsed by V12 Vantage S - the quickest production Aston Martin ever produced with a claimed top speed of 205mph.

 

Sold new by Stratstone of Wilmslow in late 2014, this car comes in Onyx Black with an Obsidian Black leather interior and silver stitching. Not content with having a very strong road presence, this car also has the optional 'carbon body pack' - making this one very mean looking Aston indeed. It's the type of car that Bruce Wayne would probably drive during the day.

 

The V12 engine debuted in the DB7 Vantage but was evolved over the years to become Aston Martin's most powerful engine. And in this evolution, it makes the car what it is - an aural orchestra of incredible sound and fury, whether at idle or at full song.

 

With the tuned V12 now pushing out 565bhp, directing this immense power to the wheels is undertaken by the 7 speed Sportshift III gearbox - essentially a manual gearbox, but changed auomatically or via the steering wheel based paddle shifters. To keep the car firmly planted on the road and to mirror the driver's mood, 3 stage adaptive damping is fitted and this can be set to normal, sport and track.

 

Yet, despite this Aston being 8 years old, it has done a mere 6,943 miles and is as good as new. With full service history via Aston Martin Reading and more recently by marque specialists Chicane, this car is ready for the open roads and wants for nothing after a recent service and inspection.
